Mega Plantation Drive in Raj Nagar Extension Ghaziabad

Plantation and development of forest area is the need of the time to control the rising pollution in the city area. Ghaziabad under the ‘ Green and clean Ghaziabad’ initiative, CREDIA ( Ghaziabad) has pledged to plant 15000 trees to be planted and distributed in Raj Nagar Extension, Loni, Crossing Republik, Siddartha Vihar, Vasundhra, Vaishali, Kanawani, Chiranjeev Vihar, Govindpuram, etc. The initiative has started from Raj Nagar Extension with participation of KW Group, Raj Nagar Extension in the lead.The Managing Director of KW Group Shri. Pankaj Kumar Jain along with GDA VC Smt. Kanchan Verma made the first move in this initiative to bring the movement of mega Plantation drive under the aegis of CREDIA (Ghaziabad). The movement has been very well received by large numbers of public and realty companies supporting this mass movement to bring in a sustainable change for betterment of environment and living conditions in Raj Nagar Extension.

The lists of selected trees that are being planted are neem, mango, arjun, jacarda and other larger trees which will not only help to purify the air but also give shades to pedestrians. It has however been decided by CREDIA to supply trees of 5 to 6 feet in height and not the small saplings which will take more time to develop into full fledged tree and also very delicate to handle in the mass plantation drive. It is expected that the program in the first phase will be completed in next few months. As there are many housing societies in Raj Extension, they have been included in this program and have been requested to spread environment awareness in their society’s also. KW Srishti in Raj Nagar Extension a housing project of KW Group is organizing plantation drives as a celebration where families including their children are actively participating.

 CREDIA (Ghaziabad) has vowed to keep the good work going, Gaurav Gupta, president, CREDAI (Ghaziabad), said, “Through this program we want to spread the message of keeping the environment clean. Society has to understand that by planting trees we will safeguard the future of our generations. It is also important to take care of the planted trees, which can happen when society is aware of its importance.”
